At Hawes Arborists, we have a genuine respect and concern for trees and the environment around us and have always tried to approach our business in the most sustainable way that is practical in our modern world.

An obvious downside is fuel for vehicles, wood-chippers, chainsaws and other machinery; however, all these are necessary to cut down time and make tree work practical and affordable.

We are always looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint and the viability of alternative fuels.

Where we can, we use bio-chain oil for our chainsaws thus preventing us from spreading fine mineral oil around our work site.

We are always keen for our customers to help us reduce our transportation, disposal and fuel costs wherever possible, therefore reducing our impact on the environment.

All of our waste is recycled, it goes to Biomass boilers to create energy.

They say personal recommendations are usually the best way forward and it certainly was for us when we asked Hawes Arborists to prune and re-shape the very old, large and somewhat neglected, Bramley Apple tree. The work has been completed to great satisfaction, giving the tree a much healthier appearance at the same time keeping the desired umbrella shape.
